At first this was really hard to do, but once I figured out a few things and kept on trying and trying I managed to enjoy it a lot :) hope you like it!

Surfing Flour Slack animation

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't posted here in a while (I also have a tumblr account giannamarks)

Here is my first animation assignment, a flour sack on a wave. Enjoy!

The Diverse Flour Sack!

I've been waiting all year to do the flour sack animation. They began doing this at Walt Disney Studios way back when, and it's one of the most fun ways to try to give an object emotion and make it come alive. It also looked so difficult whenever I saw someone animating it, but it turns out it's a bit easier than I thought, and lots of fun :) Hopefully I can try some more animation over the summer.

Enjoy!

Diagonal Pan Layout

The Evil Ponytail

A character I designed when I was 12 has finally come to life :) and it's a bit unsettling...

Short Film!

Hi everyone,

I'm really happy to show you a short film that I've been working on for a few weeks. Even though I didn't get to finish the entire story, this small part of it turned out alright. I think the music definitely helped make it not as boring ;)
The backgrounds were done in watercolour.

Enjoy!
P.S. Thanks to Hamtaro for the story idea

2d gouache painting finished!!!

I'm really happy with how this one turned it. Working with paper is lots of fun and you can get lost for hours doing it.

UPDATE: Here's a better picture of it.

Animal Walk Cycle

This assignment was more difficult than I thought it would be. I tried to make it look as realistic as possible, but the movement was still a bit stunted. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. It's supposed to be a tiger, but it ended up looking more like a female lion.

Happy Harassment Day!

This was just a fun piece I did after watching a comedy sketch. It was a nice break from school work. I give you, the Grizzly Bear and the Salmon!

Having fun with watercolours

Short clip using After Effects

Using an original rigged character.

Mood Paintings

The point of this assignment was to explore colours and how they work together to create mood. I enjoyed this one :)

Head Rotation and Lip Sync

Hi, this was a really fun animation assignment we had to do this week. We had to sync the mouth movements of a character of our choice with the phrase "meow". I wish I had time to improve it, but here it is :) enjoy

Animation Backgrounds

This was a painting assignment where we had to choose a painted background from an animated movie and do a tonal study and a final copy of the painting. I chose Peter Pan. I'm really happy with how the B&W turned out.

Rigged Character

This was my first animation done using a rigged character on Toonboom. It was really hard at first but quickly became more fun :)

Fun with Forests

This was just a fun thing I did with some new markers I got. I was inspired by the Sleeping Beauty backgrounds.

Watercolour Paintings from Home

Happy New Year! I haven't posted in a while. These are some watercolour paintings I did when I went back home to Trinidad for Christmas. It was my first time using watercolours, so I had a lot of fun and fell in love with the medium.
